Emma Weston

Emma is our very own General Practice Social Worker. 

She studied at James Cook University and has worked locally and internationally as a social worker for over 20 years. 

Emma has experience in a broad range of practice areas including medical and mental health, aged care, disability, chronic illness, women's issues and maternity, and domestic and family violence. 

As part of our multidisciplinary team, Emma is available to meet with patients to provide emotional support as well as practical information and advice. 

She has a comprehensive understanding of Government and non-Government support schemes and services and can assist people in linking into these appropriately and effectively. 

Emma is dedicated to improving the overall wellbeing of patients through supportive, person-centred, solution-focused interventions.


Iris Tumai

Podiatrist

Iris will be providing Podiatry Services to the North Shore community. For those who are unable to access transport, she will also be providing Home Visits.

Iris started her Podiatry career 12 years ago in New Zealand, travelling to rural communities to treat high risk Diabetics and to provide Education seminars.

In 2019 she landed in Western Australia, then 2022 moved to Townsville.

She has always been passionate about helping people and providing foot care is a great way to achieve this.


Jenny Sztaroszta

Jenny is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience working in a variety of different settings.

She has experience working with people who have psychological conditions related to health conditions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma and adjustment.

She uses a neuro-affirming approach to therapy to help assist adults with neurodiversity such as Autism, ADHD or both.

Jenny has a special interest in bariatric psychology and works with clients under Workcover.

She also conducts diagnostic assessments for both adults and children for a range of different issues, specifically, she conducts assessments with children for Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Difficulties, and Specific Learning Disorders (e.g., dyslexia and dysgraphia). She also conducts diagnostic assessments for adults to assess psychiatric disorders, Autism, and ADHD.

Her assessments can assist with NDIS funding, Centrelink and specialised learning support plans for school or university.

Our approach is centred on empowering individuals to be the driving force for positive change in their own lives. To help people thrive, not just survive.

Darran brings a flexible approach to mental well-being, having worked with a wide variety of individuals in numerous non-government organisations and private practice throughout the years.

His special interests include relationships, addiction, and suicide prevention.

Darran also has a passion for men's health and volunteers his expertise and time to local young men's groups and programs for incarcerated persons.


Marissa Stelmaschuk

General Practice Pharmacist

Marissa is our on-site General Practice Pharmacist. She studied at James Cook University and completed her internship in 2011 at the Townsville University Hospital, where she was engaged as a Clinical Pharmacist for a little over 10 years. She joined the North Shore General Practice team in 2022, providing a unique clinical pharmacy service within the general practice setting. As part of our healthcare team, Marissa assists with medication review, chronic disease management, medicines information and education. With a collaborative and empathetic approach, she enjoys supporting our practitioners and patients in optimal medication use. She is passionate about promoting the safe and quality use of medicines to improve health outcomes.
